Dee Why Beach
Patrol Times
Dee Why Beach is patrolled by professional lifeguards seven days a week.
On weekends and public holidays this is supplemented by Surf Life Saving Club volunteers.
Patrol dates and times are as follows:
- 4 September 2010 – 24 September 2010, 8.30am – 4.30pm (7 days p/week)
- 25 September 2010 – 5 December 2010, 9am – 5pm (7 days p/week)
- 6 December 2010 – 27 February 2011, 9am – 6pm (7 days p/week)
- 28 February 2011 – 25 April 2011, 9am – 5pm(7 days p/week)
- 26 April 2011 – 29 May 2011, 9am – 4.30pm (7 days p/week)
Note: In April this beach is patrolled between 9am – 4.30pm on weekends and public holidays.

Conditions
Good swimming and body surfing conditions. Excellent boardriding on point and centre of the beach. Best at south corner in south or south easterly winds.
Parking
Dee Why has parking available that is free for vehicles displaying Warringah Council parking stickers and pay ‘n’ display is available for those without. The cost for pay ‘n’ display parking is:
- Monday to Friday – $5 an hour or $8 all day
- Weekends – $25 all day
There are designated disabled car spaces available.
